This week, my focus was a bit more on publishing existing projects.
Publishing Projects
For several of my projects that are currently open, I have pushed tags to codeberg .
- https://codeberg.org/kfdm/norikae/src/tag/v0.1.0
- https://codeberg.org/kfdm/salt-forgejo/src/tag/v0.1.0
- https://codeberg.org/kfdm/salt-kafka/src/tag/v0.2.0
For those and a few others, I’ve also created pages on my site.
For two of my eventkit prototypes, I have also included TestFlight links.
Other Development Work
To better document some of my projects, I need to upload some photos to my site. Git isn’t always the best for images, so I am considering putting the photos in object storage. Though it is a bit annoying to manage some of that manually, so I’m considering a small django app to help me manage uploads.
Other Server Work
I still haven’t determined the source of last week’s
memory error.
With only 1 gb of memory, dnf
seems to be an issue, especially with a large repo like epel
.
For now I’ve set it to enabled=0
and will enable it only when checking for specific updates.
I am also trying microdnf
to see if that helps.
Analog Priorities
As a developer, it’s quite easy to try to overengineer a software solution for every problem. For tracking a short list of next prioriites, I am trying a simple analog solution. I glued a magneetic strip to the edge of my monitor, so that I can use some metal clips with notecards. I want to see if this can visually help with my large areas of focus.
